Maedeup is the traditional Korean art form of knotting silk threads or cords. This form of art has been passed down for over 300 years hand by hand, generation to generation. In this class, students not only study the existing examples of 38 different knotting patterns by replicating them, but also develop new personalized forms of maedeup that are more applicable to their own modern lifestyle and needs.
