| The Donghwa Cultural Foundation recognizes the intrinsic
value of traditional Korean culture and the principles
upon which it is based: virtue, benevolence, righteousness,
propriety, and wisdom. The fundamental mission of the
Donghwa Cultural Foundation is provide a better understanding
and appreciation of these traditions and practices, not
only for Americans of Korean descent, but for anyone interested
in developing their understanding of this fascinating
and unique culture. Various educational programs offered
at the center teach traditional Korean arts and are all
participatory, including music, dance and visual arts.
Other aspects of Korean culture, such as the function
of tea and food in Korean society, are offered as well. |
